Freedom of the press comes from the 1st Amendment to the Constitution: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." There's not a word in there about any requirement for "fair and balanced" reporting. If you don't like the paper, you have every right not to buy it. And if you really don't like it, you can always start your own paper and compete with it.
