My first car
was an NSU Prinz that my parents got me to get me to and from university. It was serviced by VW with a rear engine and you couldn't tell whether it was coming or going. It had a 2 cyl. engine and my late husband used to call it my covered lawnmower! But it got me around town and even up north on the 400 going with the flow of traffic and then some. The first car I bought was an Austin 1100 which was great except in a major rain. Could never figure out why a British car would stall in the rain, given that England is known as a rainy country. Needless to say I am partial to small cars and now drive a Toyota Echo though we also have a Kia Rondo, which is big by comparison and has all the space we need to travel down with our stuff to TV. Maybe one day I'll look into a Smart car though it is really too small for grandkids. Cute though.
