adk77, I'm a TV wannabee who has been to several open houses in TV when I rented in TV last year. When I go to an open house I usually alway ask the real estate agent about the property taxes.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong -- the property tax for the new owner(s) is a percentage of the sale price of the house. 2% of the sale price sticks in my mind, but that percentage could be wrong. I don't know how the homestead exemption figures into that percentage if you live in the house year round. Hopefully a TOTV veteran can post more information.
