Well, now we have high drama at the nest. The male was recently courting a female but she disappeared and may have died as well. Now there are two new females who appear to be fighting over the male but this morning the male mated with one. It is the male who selects the female and they will they mate for life. The original female was this male's mate for many years before she was killed. The eagle cam is active so it's possible we will have some eggs soon and once again witness a reality show like no other. All this drama is played out before our eyes. Last year's was a heartbreak.

Thanks for the update D's Mom. I was so disheartened when last's year Mother Eagle was killed by a plane. It was so sad. But I was happy they relocated the three eaglets.
The widower Eagle now has ladies lined up vying for his attention. Much like Katie Belles. Also, the Management has added new cameras which will provide even better coverage of the area around the nest where the eagles often perch.
The "powers to be" are considering dismantling any nests built too close to the airport, because they can pose a threat not only to the eagles, but to plane safety as well. I somehow doubt this will happen, especially once eggs are laid.

There are no eggs yet to keep warm. She is probably at the Spa, she has a lot of competition this year.
