VK, you are right, the US will be drawn in, and quickly. What worries me most is that the current administration will insure that it happens before the upcoming election. With terrorist incidents occuring in any major city in the US, martial law will be declared and the election postponed. As all the politicans say, "Never let a crisis go to waste" and here is a ready made one for them to use anytime they get ready.
