The issue of the payroll tax was kryptonite to the Republicans during this presidential campaign period. they are better off to retreat and fight another day. Congress is divided, Republican House Democrat Senate. I am not mad at Republicans nor Democrats but because of a system that has become so divided that we can't get things done. The Democratic Pary left me during the Johnson Admin and so I joined the Republicans, a real disappointment to my Dad. However, while I do not agree with some of the positions the Republicans have taken I certainly do not agree with any of the positions the Democrats have asserted. so where does one go.......You say independent....well I personally believe most folks are independent thinkers anyway.

This is going to be a major battle for the very soul of this country and we cannot allow Obama a second term because he has everything to gain and nothing to lose in re-structuring our Constitution to fit his idealogy. He must be stopped so don't lose your cool. Politics is messy..stay the course....keep saying to yourself over and over again... defeat Obama in November
