Of course I know what's going on. The problem is that there are no elected representatives who will place their principles and what is needed by the country above their efforts to get re-elected and retain power. They will
always opt to pander to voters rather than doing what is right and necessary, regardless of what they might have said to us while campaigning. Always. All of them...from both parties.
I know you believe that simply "voting Republican" will result in change. I don't. I believe that voting in all new representatives will give us a better chance. Actually, an even better chance would be for Congress to enact stringent term limits and campaign finance reform. A balanced budget amendment to the Constitution? Forget it. None of that is ever going to happen until the public sends the message that continuing to place political career goals over principal is unacceptable. Blindly voting for one party won't accomplish that.
