The state government hosts a website where you can compare insurance rates on a hypothetical home by the county you live in. I see ASI is near the top of the two dozen offering insurance in Sumter County. You should also get a Wind Mitigation inspection done (depending on when your house was built). Without it your rates will be much much higher.
Then call each company you're interested in and ask if they sell through agents in our area. Make appointments to discuss the coverages.
