Where NOT working is a viable and well chosen option for many individuals and paid with public funds.

Where the risks taken of large corporations are protected by bail outs paid with public funds.

Where drug use is rampant and costing the country so much, not only in money, yet we spend so little time in preventing because it is accepted that it will be done.

Where family values are PREACHED, yet our divorce rate is over 50%. And the cost of divorce to the taxpayers is enormous....knowing nobody will believe that...here is a link to a study done in 2004 showing that cost.

I guess my point is that our social deterioration has reached the point where so much of the debate and money spent is to feed what we have become to feel is our RIGHT.....our self absorption as a society is now the accepted fact.

People will say this is PROGRESS....this is MOVING AHEAD. I say we are spoiled as a country.

I am prepared for those who will say that all of this social deterioration is not that costly...only this or that percentage of the budget, but I respectfully disagree.
