Dr. Krause is an excellent Vet and has been helpful. She told me that she has not known of a dog living longer than 6 years with this condition and my Duffy is now 13 so I feel that he has a good life filled with lots of love. Of course there is nothing to compare to the unconditional love we receive.

I'm so sorry to hear about Duffy's problems, and I hope he lives a lot longer. We lost our 19 years old Himilayan cat about three weeks ago. She had a wonderful life and lived a long time. But surprisingly, that doesn't make it any easier. I still miss her terribly, and our dogs miss her also. She was such a special little kitty, always good natured and sociable. Our little family just doesn't seem to be complete without her.
