December a year ago, my wife and I were accosted by a member of Lake Sumter PD T ABOUT 8:20 On a Sunday evening. We had stepped off the curb by the movie heading towards Johnny Roickets when the Police car roared up on us and stopped behind me and the driver informed me I should have backed off for him. I mentioned to him that I thought the pedestrian had the right of way. He said, not in Fl. He also told me that if I wished to find out for sure, he would ticket me and let the judge decide. The conversation escalated and we finally walked away.
