It's because people see a bigger picture and agenda at work here with regard to "gay marriage". The secular left has been trying to delegitimatize the traditional nuclear family for years now, for the same reason they try to delegitimatize religion. The secular left feel there shouldn't be anything greater than "the State".
Everyone knows what marriage is and are being brainwashed. I know your intentions are good, but I think those who would redefine marriage are being misled and used in support of the destruction of traditional human ideals.
Gays can get the partnership protections they desire through realistic legislation. I say "partnership" because that's what it is. It's not marriage.
They'll be no carrying on the family bloodline here.
I don't say this to be mean. I have gay people in my life I care about who would like to marry. But it's not "marriage" no matter what is finally decided by the courts.
