Default bloodlines?

If a heterosexual couple chooses not to have children and carry on bloodlines, is it then not a marriage? Our friends have 2 children through invitro, one child is from one mother's egg, and the other is from the other mother. They used the same donor. They will be carrying on the bloodlines. However, that is not the point. They are a loving committed couple. Their marriage has no affect on mine. It seems like people that have a problem with gay marriage, tend to use words like secular, brainwashed, traditional core values, blah, blah, blah. I'm not brainwashed and have deep spiritual beliefs. My core values are that ALL people should be treated equally.
