This had to be a miscommunication from the guy who
doesn't live in TV, but seems to know so much about it! LOL! (I don't mean you, Dirigo, in a later post you mentioned a guy from Leesburg).
My husband has worked for one of the businesses in TV for two years (a biz
owned by TV) and, trust me, he does NOT get any special perks...nor do the other 40-odd people he works with. They are LUCKY if they get paid over minimum wage.
His pension covers the regular monthly expenses, the little TV job pays for our extras: eating out, going to movies, traveling up north to see the family, etc.
