The 3.1 miles in distance isn't a big deal. My route takes me on roads where there is no stoplights, the speed limit is 55 mph on county roads vs. 35 mph for long stretches of 301, and the roads are virtually unoccupied (vs. 301 traffic near Wildwood). Also, going on the turnpike sooner allows you to proceed at 70 mph vs. staying on a slower portion of 301 for a longer period. Try them both and let me know what you think.

I'm still confused, but as long as this route works for you that's all that matters. I'm close to 466A so we just go 466A to Powell to 44 to 301 to the turnpike.
What I don't understand is going further west on 44 to meet 75. Still don't get why you would go west to 75 when the turnpike is right there in Wildwood. But like I said, if it works for you
