Regarding his influence--if those that listen to him regularly really believe the stuff he spouts, this country is in worse shape than any of us can imagine.
After I watched the news report includinIg clips of Limbaugh's statements, on NBC Nightly News, an ad came on for an insurance company. We've all seen it I'm sure. It ends with three guys watching a construction worker letting a jackhammer get out of control. One of the observers grimaces and says, "That's one dumb dude."
I thought the juxtaposition of the news report and the ad was particularly apropos. But you don't want people thinking that of you, Richie. I know I don't...unless you continue to defend someone as disgusting as Rush Limbaugh.

Get off the high horse Kahuna, and I don't care what you think. I'm a big fan of Rush Limbaugh. I revel in his "decapitation" and "dismantling" of all things "leftist".
He's the most solid speaker of the conservative cause and I'm just one of millions who listen to his show and know the character of the man in a way people on their high horse of selective outrage can't and won't see.
It's not my problem that he says things that irk you, and he is proved right over and over again. You don't like his style, too bad.
I'm proud to be conservative minded, I'm proud to be a fan of Mr. Limbaugh, and I also don't give a rat's patootie what you think about it.
So, you know where to stick your distain.
