I suspect the manufacturer is trying to convey that the pack should be fine to drive 30 miles before it needs a charge (of course charge after any use not just 30 miles). There has to be a bunch of fine print around such a statement as the answer depends so much on the condition of the batteries, condition of cart, etc.

It is hard to know if this is good for your batteries as you need to know what the depth of discharge for 30 miles is for that particular cart.

As I have said before I like to charge the pack before the volts drop below 48.4 volts at rest. In my Club Car with 6-8v NEW batteries that happens at around 35 miles, in my Club car with 8-6V batteries that happened at 50 miles*** last year.

*** I have not measured them this year, but they are now two years old and have likely lost some range.
