A few years ago it was reported that the largest recipient of farm subsidies in Illinois was Scottie Pippen, then performing as a forward for the Chicago Bulls.

Let's see...Bulls...cattle...farm...subsidies arranged by his slick financial advisor. Yep, I got it. Really a great program to support those poor family farmers. I wonder which lobbyist the family farmers hired to buy votes to continue these subsidies?

Has anyone heard the candidates, from either party but particularly the supposedly more conservative GOP, saying anything about eliminating these programs?

Oh yeah, I know...they're out trying to pander for votes in states like Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Illinois and Indiana.
