Maybe comparing it to having the weight-lifting and other machines available only outside in the sun and not in air conditioned rooms would get the point across as to what fitness swimmers deal with in the blazing sun....even at 4-7:00 p.m. in spring, summer and fall it's intense. Skin cancer is a real threat.

True. These pools are not just for "dippers" they would be for fitness and for swimmers.
Since we have the indoor pool at the Sharon Morse center and it's not being used, that might be a good place to start. But used for people who swim laps and for fitness?
