My granddaughter has been on so-called "birth control pills" since the age of 12, most assuredly
not for birth control but to prevent her from having to be hospitalized screaming in pain accompanied by tremendous loss of blood for a week each month. Yes, this
is a
pharmaceutical that is also used for contraception, and I support its being reimbursed for her and countless others. I do
not support any coverage for Viagra since there is
zero medical need for such a drug and am appalled at the hypocrisy of those who (for whatever their reasons) give tacit support to the latter by
not condemning it while making crude, insulting, and inappropriate comments about those who (for whatever their reasons) need the former.
