Skyguy, one thing to remember is that bald eagles are no longer endangered. They are still threatened but not endangered. I think eagles are magnificent birds, but, then, I love all raptors.
The idea of killing such a beautiful bird is heartbreaking to me. At the same time, I've seen the rituals Native American tribes use when killing a sacred animal. It is not a lighthearted killing. It is done with love and reverence and thanks. So, while on a personal level I don't like it, I do understand allowing the killing and, so long as it is limited to two, I can live with it without protest.
