Revere never fired any warning shots. He never 'rang bells'. One of Revere's co-prisoners made a comment about bells while detained. They (the Regulars and the prisoners) *heard* a shot about a half mile from Lexington whereupon Revere DID say that it was a signal to alarm the country.
This is the problem I have with many Palin supporters. If she said the sky were green they'd agree - that somehow you're never supposed to admit you're wrong. And *that* is what makes one a caricature.
Believe me - we LIVE this history here and re-enact the Battles of Lexington and Concord almost within paper airplane distance of where I work EVERY YEAR - *WE KNOW A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THIS STUFF*
I have no trouble admitting when 'my guy' is wrong whether it's politics, sports or if it's myself on any other subject. It's called being human - because nobody is perfect.
Refusing to admit when someone makes a mistake is a hallmark of insecurity.

Palin was right, and you were wrong. The Paul Revere Heritage Project backs up the inherent truth of Gov. Palin's telling of the story.
Do we really have to go over this all again. I proved you wrong months ago on this subject.
"This is the problem I have with Palin" haters. They want Palin to be perfect in her telling of a story or she's an idiot. This despite the fact that she knew more about the true nature of the Revere ride than probably 95% of all Americans you could have asked.
