We were at the pool today and I saw the ad in the Daily Sun for Magnolia's Wednesday & Saturday Special: A bucket (30) fresh shucked oysters for $10 (3-7 PM). Since we didn't have dinner plans, we decided to finally give it a try.

The place was a little hole-in-the -wall bar and I think my wife was a little skittish when we first got there, but the waitress was excellent, promptly took our drink order ($1 domestic drafts during happy hour) and we ordered a bucket of oysters and some garlic cheese bread. Our order came out promptly--the oysters were excellent and served with plenty of crackers, horseradish, and cocktail sauce. The garlic cheese bread was excellent but the portion size was more than we anticipated so we actually ended up ordering too much food.

They have a small courtyard and offer both indoor and outdoor dining.

This is not a fancy place, but the service was excellent, the food was great, and the price was very reasonable. We might be making it our regular Wednesday dinner spot.
Thanks for the "Heads Up". Sounds perfect.
