Last Will And Testament Of A Beloved Pet (If they could express their wishes in writing)

To a poor and lonely stray I give to you:

-My happy home
-My Bowl
-My cozy bed
-My soft pillows
-My toys
-The lap, which I loved so very much
-The hand that stroked my fur
-The sweet voice which spoke my name

I leave to my best friend this message:

Thank you so much for our priceless journey, Thank you EVER so much for sharing such an endless flow of love to me daily.

Please never say when I am gone "I will never have a pet again", for the loss and pain is more than I can stand.

Instead take the time you need, then open your heart again and give that sheltered pet a chance to experience such love.

I leave behind a happy home, an endless flow of love, and more joy than words can express to that unwanted shelted pet that you must share yourself with. You changed my life, don't allow my passing to end here.

This certainly gave me something to think about!
I tried to read this aloud to my husband but I was crying too hard. We lost our beloved Himalyan cat in January, 20 years old. I always think when a pet passes, I would be somehow get used to the pain. But you're right Nipper, grief is the price we pay for love.
