It's silly, but I can't help but to remember a line from an old "All in the Family" episode..

Mike: "Arch, did you know that (number) people were killed with guns last year?"

Archie: "Would it make you feel any better if they was stabbed?"

The point here is that I've long made the argument that it isn't the gun (especially legally owned) that is the problem since almost ANYTHING can be used as a weapon to kill.

I used to joke that "What will the come for next - knives?"

Now it's no joke:

In 2005 they medical teams were calling for banning KITCHEN KNIVES - and 'consulting' teams of "top chefs" to say that longer pointy knives have no good use in a kitchen?!?!?
