I'm not making a comment about content, and I only skimmed it because this is an ongoing story and to make any kind of conclusion based on this link is pointless, but many people don't take Wiki with the huge grain of salt that is needed.

Check the References at the bottom of this Wikipedia page on Trayvon Martin. It also says its is a current event and may change very quickly.
I do not see any problem with Wikipedia for current politics and the like. Especially, if there are a lot of References you can check up on via the web.
