Many many years ago Dr. Sears of the Zone philosophy wrote a book titled, "The Miracle of Fish Oil". Fish oil was supposed to be a "cure" for nearly everything including Alzhiemer's, although the word "cure" was never used; it was all based on anecdotal evidence. And the author's wife was in the business of processing and selling fish oil, which says a lot.
I called the USF Alzhiemer's research center to ask if they ever heard of fish oil being a cure for Alzhiemer's and they said, "no". The woman in charge told me that they get phone calls and letters all the time from people who think they have found a cure. People have suggested everything from peanut butter to pickle juice.
