Some years ago, comedian / actor Robert Wuhl did a nice, 2-episode special on HBO called "Assume the Position". He basically went into a college class at (I think) Columbia University and ran a couple of classes about things we didn't realize about American History.

The stories are fascinating and, in some cases, hysterical.

Remember, though, at the time, Bush was President and so many people were moaning and crying about how Armageddon was upon us with the way Bush was running the country.

Wuhl showed points in history where it was actually much worse - and, yet, we "got through it". He then went on to later say that, no matter how worried you are about Bush - "we'll get through it".

Well, I would apply the same words to those who think Obama has us on the precipice. We'll get through it.
