Right now all of our grounds are bright emerald green, having turned early this year due to the week of mid 80 degree temps.

Everything is in bloom early......and no need for astro turf.
I wasn't aware of this as in Sanibel we are under severe water restrictions and there is talk of closing Bonifay golf course do to it. We can only water once a week here and haven't received enough rain this spring for the population. Am I misunderstanding something?

Yes, I do understand the restrictions and wasn't suggesting that someone put artificial turf on their lawn here or that someone would not comply with the rules. I was stating that what one person thinks is "ugly" someone else might not. I was also pointing out how many states are encouraging people to put in the turf as a "green" alternative. I'm sorry if you misunderstood my post.

I'm also under the impression that different parts of the villages have different rules. Is this not true as well?
