Before getting a Dell and/or upgrading to Vista you should google "blue screen of death". We have two Dells with Vista and get blue death on both of them. If I were you, I'd hand onto your slug and upgrade directly to Windows 7. (Arguably the best OS ever from MS.) OR just get the Apple and be done with all the MS BS. You will be much happier in the long run.
