I wouldn't worry too much about your age. You will still have a full time job to go to, and your mother will take up some of your time too. You will enjoy living here,and meeting new people and going to the squares for the music at night. Also, you will meet neighbors who like to play Wii games, or board games.
My husband and I are 60 and 59, we moved here because we thought the area would be a wonderful environment for our son, who is 34, and severely disabled. He loves it here, we love it here. All of our "older" neighbors have really been very supportive. As soon as our house is built in Sanibel, my mother, who is 82, will be moving here, too.
We think it's a very vibrant community! Heck, I know 75 and 80 year olds who have more stamina than my husband and I!
