I would have to chime in and say we're feeling quite blessed to be here! Dreamed for years of not having to shovel snow and deal with ice and cold in the winters and the raking in the fall. I've lurked on TOTV for some time now and have observed (and maybe I do this at times too) that folks tend to want what they had "back home". You know, the food, restaurants, ambiance or you fill in the blank. Well we're NOT back home here so we have to acclimate to our new surroundings and culture.
I think of the rudeness...perhaps (and this is just that..a perhaps) these folks have brought their behaviors from whence they've come. I would say even in frustration, to treat them the way YOU would want to be treated---the Golden Rule goes a long way.
ALL of this being said...our expectations have been far exceeded and we love it here!
