But you criticize him for simply stating facts. Every word of Obama's quote, save one, is factually correct. The incorrect word is 'shrinking'. In fact there is growing, or at worst, a stable number of people who are doing well, in part because of the Republican congressional bloc which refuses to support revisions of the federal tax code. The rest of the statement is actually an understatement.
If you've read anything in recent years you are aware that the average amount of money owed by college students has risen rapidly, putting many in an almost irresolvable financial hole, unless they quit school.
Furthermore, it should be pointed out that the Republicans are blocking the reduction of student loan rates. That's a fact too. Yes, it was a Democratic Congress which passed the rate reduction five years ago, which has been a godsend to millions of students trying to grab the American dream. And like most other revenue bills, it had an expiration date. These are just more facts.
So anyway, you use a lot of facts here. More than usual. But they point to a conclusion which is the opposite of what it seems you intended.
There are a bunch of folks out there who agree that Obama's statement was 'So Typical'. That is, the President once again stating some facts and speaking the truth.

TYPICAL...the games played in congress relative to election cycles, AND the blaming of Republicans who had nothing to do with setting the deadline (no conversation except for the democrats) and he SPECIFICALLY...not intimates but SPECIFICALLY blames Republicans.
Now, since 2007 have we had a few changes in the economy ? My point is that it is typical that this is NOT the doing of the Republicans in any way except that we are so far in debt NOW and the deficit is so much...
Representing the Republican party as the irresponsible one here mucho less than sincere...they seem to be acting like the adult here and the President is siezing the situation to manifest it as not wanting folks to get a break.
I think it is very typical for this President. We need, in my opinion, someone to lead us and tell the truth...there needs to be tightening of the belt and my opinion says the President should be upfront and honest about our difficulties.
BUT AGAIN...just my opinion....this is certainly not as stark as the Healthcare lies, etc, BUT I just want the facts laid out. Am I expecting too much, perhaps but don't think so because this is surely not the only situation that fits this.
Why do you think we have not had a budget since he became President ?
PS....could you please supply some more information on "Republican congressional bloc which refuses to support revisions of the federal tax code."
