Gee, thanks everyone & thanks, BarryRX, for the thread. Can't work anymore d/t disability so I really miss patient care. I have some good & bad memories but mostly good. I still have a handkerchief with tatted (like crochet) edging that a cute elderly woman patient gave me when I was just starting out as a nurse in the 70's. I'm sorry that nursing care isn't what it used to be in this world of technology & short-staffing but know that most all involved in your care are doing the darn best that they can. We love to help people in & out of the hospital.
