I'm a smoker. I am a retired 3rd grade teacher who taught in the same district and with a team teacher for 15 years with absolutely no one having a clue I smoked until I revealed it shortly before my retirement.

I should buy stock in Fabreze and Listerine mouth freshener. I used both regularly so not to offend anyone and they obviously worked!

I am a considerate smoker. I smoke only where it is legally allowed. I do not infringe upon non smokers by smoking in non-smoking areas. I smoke in smoking areas only. I smoke in outside seating areas of restaurants because it is allowed.

I have tried to quit through hypnosis, using the patch/gum and Welbutrin to no avail. I even tried the smokeless E-cigs. I want to quit but haven't been successful.

Please don't berate me for following the law. If you want to change the law then go for it. I will abide and follow it if you are successful.

However, until a new law is passed...if you are a non smoker then sit in your designated area because I DO! Don't sit in the area I have a legal right to sit in then complan about it. If you make a choice to sit in the smokers area when you are a non smoker, then you made a bad choice and you have no right to complain!
