The ways of getting along with those who live close to us are the same wherever we are. You have to look for good. You can't make issues about everything and particularly small things. You may have to keep your mouth shut and your patience turned on high if your goal is to live without conflict in these very close together homes.

Is the neighbors tree that sheds leaves on your driveway enough reason to start a fuss? Is the fact that there is dirt and dust and mess from a neighbors construction enough reason to get yourself in an uncomfortable situation that will last a long time? That construction will be over in a very short time and you both will still be there. Does anyone really think that how anyone looks in a bathing suit matters to anyone else as an issue in neighborhood getting along? We all have had our time looking better than we do now.

Soon your tree will be blowing leaves in their yard as time goes on. Soon your new neigbor will be younger and less wrinkled than you. Soon the construction that made the mess will get older and need repairing.

Deep breaths. Don't sweat the small stuff. Forget about it. Forgive others foibles. Enjoy this day. Try to imagine yourself in others shoes.

We are here together and we are missing a chance at enjoying our time in lower Paradise if we make mountains out of molehills.
