I would guess your case unfortunately fell through the cracks of the law enforcement bureaucracy. That often happens at the state level. In my opinion, (retired law enforcement) you are better served by the local police department. It is important to determine the proper jurisdiction, then after doing so write a letter to the Police Chief or the Sheriff outlining the complaint. I am sure they will give it the attention it deserves. Nothing against the senior citizen volunteers who help out and are well appreciated. But, if you have a problem and it is not being properly addressed you must go right to the top of the leadership chain. Good Luck, I hope this scammer is made to account for her criminal behavior.
