Here is Kathy's latest 'event.' She lost her milk bottle... didn't realize it was lost until she was unloading the clean dishes from the dishwasher and...lo and behold...the 1/2 full milk bottle was in the overhead cabinet next to the clean glasses. It had been there -- she figures -- for 24 hours! She was at first stunned to see the milk bottle in the wrong place, but then did a belly laugh over her finding!
I told her it reminded me of when I 'lost' my cell phone...but found it the next day in my socks drawer. That one drove me nuts; finally found it when I called my cell phone from a land line, and the faint cell ring guided me to the bedroom. I could have kissed my cell phone when I eventually found it.
Is this a sign of aging? Or just stupidity!!
What's your 'lost-and-found' story?

It's neither stupidity nor a sign of aging. It's simply being... well... human!
I was about 21 when my wife and I were living in a mobile home. To visualize, the front of the trailer was the kitchen, next a step down into the living room then the hallway on the right heading back to the bedrooms and bathroom.
I was looking for something in the living room (don't remember what it was) and when I couldn't find it, I stepped up to the kitchen area and from the edge of the step visually scanned the living room believing it was in the open somewhere. After what seemed about 5 minutes I spotted the item. Guess where it was? It was smack dab in the middle of the floor, and not a single thing anywhere near it. Believe it or not, I did have 20/30 vision back then!
I'm baffled to this day as to how I could have missed that object right there in front of me - in the open no less!
