My husband bought a brand-new smart phone in November. In January, he lost it. Decided it could only have fallen out of his coat pocket in the grocery store parking lot. Nobody turned it in. Of course it wasn't insured, so he bought a used one and put insurance on it. He is notorious for misplacing things, but they are seldom out-and-out lost. It just takes time for things to show up.
Next week we are going out of the country for three weeks. This week my husband lost his wallet. Same thing, looked every-darn-where. Then we decided we couldn't wait any longer and had to call and cancel Visa, Amex, and ATM card and get new ones so they would get here in before we leave

Oh, and as he was digging through the couch looking for his wallet, he found his brand-new smart phone.
