"Long For This World: The Strange Science of Immortality" by Jonathan Weiner. The author is a Pulitzer prize-winning science writer.
Not long ago I started a thread about the book, "90 minutes in heaven", and now this. I didn't plan it this way, it just happened. It makes me realize that, in one way or another, people wish to continue their existence. So I think it's basically the same subject. It's all about people's desires; they want to dream about continuing in one form or another.
Has anyone read the above book? I'm only up to chapter 4 but so far I find it very interesting. (I may have more comments as I progress through the book, or maybe not. We'll see.)
