We both went to Mid-Florida Eye at different times and both had a wonderful experience. The staff is excellent, the office runs like a clock, and they are way better than Ocala Eye. We would highly recommend you giving them a try if you are tired of the long waits at Ocala Eye.

It's unfortunate that you've experienced what you had with OcalaEye. We just arrived home from OcalaEye Surgical location a few hours ago where my wife had her second eye operated on today. With the several appointments we've been through, the most time we've spent for the pre and post-ops at the two non-surgical locations we've been to was about an hour. While waiting for her (pre-ops locations) I've seen most others in and out in even less time than she was. Do keep in mind though that what I viewed was a pretty limited sampling of people coming and going.

Also, with my special needs, they went out of their way to accomodate me while I had to wait for her during the two operations. At the first time I thought it took a little longer than normal and I did have an issue with their telling me to go get the car because she was just about finished. 45 minutes later she was brought out and I was steaming. (both ways) She said something about that more than once to staff and today things went much faster. I wasn't even to my car before she was walked out the front door. Overall, I'd probably give OE a B for their customer service and an A+ on the performance of the doctor himself.

Please note that I have no reason what-so-ever to question or doubt what you've said about Mid Florida Eye and I'm glad the two of you had the wonderful experience with them that you did. With our luck we would have probably been the exception to the rule had we been referred there! I did though want to give an account of our experience with OcalaEye!
