Default This appears to be what it will be about...

The President does not seem to be hiding the fact that this campaign will NOT be about his record or what he has done nor will it be about his plans for the future. It will be, as folks on here have spoken of before, CLASS WARFARE.

Just a few examples....and a reporter gives us a small personal story...

"BOSTON, Mass. — A little birdie must have been sitting nearby during my lunch with a prominent Boston lawyer on Friday. We were discussing — what else? — the presidential elections, and the candidates’ relative chances of success.

My lunch partner has worked on the Obama campaign, has donated funds, and is an ardent supporter of the president. His characterization of the Republican challenger, Mitt Romney, was blunt and unflattering: “He may have been the only one in that clown car of candidates who could tie his shoes, but that does not make him good,” he said, over fish and chips in a North Station bistro.

But, while he desperately wants Barack Obama to gain a second term, my lawyer friend was not overly optimistic about the odds.

“With the economy the way it is, Obama is a dead man walking,” he said. “The only way he can win this is if he turns the whole campaign into class warfare — us against them. But I’m afraid he is too honorable to take that approach.”

Well perhaps not too honorable at that.

On Monday, the Obama campaign released an explosive video that paints Mitt Romney as a vulture capitalist par excellence, a soulless millionaire interested only in his own profit, and caring not a whit for the little man."

Class warfare: Obama

I might add that these ads are just plain vicious...would make Saul very proud, and if the President actually approved these ads it speaks directly to his character. It does not jive with his explanation of WHY he is placing them even being questioned by his followers.

There is also an article in the Wall St Journal relative to this, but not going to link because it requires a subscription, but I just hate to see this country in such a debate. WHY.....does not make sense. We have had rich presidents in the past....no big issue made of them, why now.

There are a lot of issues in this race that make me uncomfortable and I suppose have their basis in the Chicago community organizing, but even that is a bit of a cliche.

But this could get nasty.....MSNBC this morning had some polls.....one was asking WHITE STRUGGLING folks who could better help them (I am paraphrasing as I do not recall the exact wording)...Romney won that poll by at lest 15 points. Second question asked of NON WHITE STRUGGLING folks...an Obama wins by 15 points.

This is not nice stuff to even see or hear no matter what side of the aisle you come down on.

By the time of the debates, nobody on either side will be LISTENING !
