The North Carolina school where this isolated incident happened admits they did the improper thing by telling a very young child (4,5,6?) that the lunch from home was lacking things. Obviously, a teacher, teacher aid, or volunteer went overboard and the school recognized the error - after the fact.
The First Lady's idea is great. Parents have to help, too, by preparing good meals for kids and themselves. Don't make everything a political issue. Errors were made, errors were recognized, move on.
