It is not just CYVs, but the reason it is more apt to happen in a CYV is the dogs can be let out unattended. Same can happen in lanai or birdcage.
Sadly, with many issues like this, the answer will depend on your neighbors.
We back up to a CYV that has two dogs, When these dogs are let out, they bark. The duration is never more than 10 minutes, but one of the times is often between 6:45 - 7:30 AM. If you talk on your lanai on a nice afternoon and the dogs are out they will start barking.

If my dog barked at 7AM I would be so embarrassed. She would be on a short leash until she was trained. I can never understand people that let a dog bark and bark and not think (or worse
not care) it has any affect on their neighbors.
