Having lived outside Nashville, TN for a long time, I've been able to talk with folks such as the Judds, Emmylou Harris, all the Mandrell sisters, Stella Parton, Ray Stevens and a bunch more.
Most folks in Nashville in the entertainment industry were just plain folk.
