The only thing that bothers me is another article I read in today's NYT, quoting a guy--it might have been a faculty member--regarding what both Obama and Romney were like when they attended Harvard. He pretty much described two peas in a pod--both extremely analytical, slow to make a decision, unwilling to be confrontational, not terribly good at getting others to see their way of thinking, personally self-centered to a fault, introverted. The writer was surprised that either of them had chosen politics, particularly national politics at a high level, for their life's work.
I've thought for awhile now that the differences between Romney and Obama are paper thin when it comes to the ability to maneuver the Congress and lead the country. Romney will get my vote, and I hope I'm wrong. But I also know that if he doesn't work out, we can go to yet another "plan" in 2016.
I looked and looked for the NYT article, but couldn't find it again to provide a reference or link. I can't even remember what section it was in. Maybe someone else read the same thing who can point us to it.
