One option you may want to consider is looking at the portable AC units that Lowes or Home Depot sells. They run $350-$800 and have all different BTU ranges for cooling depending on how big your lanai is. Some also have a heating element. This may be a cost effective way to provide heat/AIR in your lanai without tapping into your existing house system.
