A shame that the biggest race of the year has to be compromised this way but as you well know it's part of the game and obviously the right decision of owner and trainer. With the way the tendon looked this afternoon as he grazed outside of the barn, I'm now of the belief that there really was no option in whether to run or not run. He's got tendonitis period and no trainer would ever send a horse to the post under these conditions.
