Actually, the lamppost signs were mentioned as excluded in the deed restrictions and are OK!

My agent did go through the restrictions with me so there would be no surprises and it was pretty much what I expected. I don't necessarily agree with every single thing, but when we live in a community of this size, we all must adapt in some way and there has to be compromise. I am OK with that, I think, and hope that feeling will persist once I have moved in and have lived there for some time! If you really are unhappy with the deed restrictions, then
perhaps you need to seek out some neighborhood where they are not so stringent. Not passing judgment here, just don't want to see someone living where they feel uncomfortable. We all need to find our own happiness, wherever that may take us. TV can be a stop along the way or a permanent solution!
