I'm not able to comment on the ad, but my 86 year old uncle had the Veterans Aadministration install one in his head about a year ago and he is pleased (and you don't have to yell at him anymore!). He hated his standard hearing aids. I don't think he has to do all the expensive servicing the other poster mentioned. Unfortunately, that is all I know but will ask him more next time I see him.
